The Five Books That Inspired me to Write.

I'm sure that most of you have heard of these books before, but they have had the most impact on me as a reader and as an author. Since you stopped by this blog, I am assuming that you know that I’m a romance author. From that I will go on and tell you that the 5 books that inspired me most to write were from some very popular authors that are now successful and some that has been successful for some time. The books I'm going to share with you have been over a period and not necessarily a newer one.

As an Author and a reader, I enjoy reading different types of romance novels. I also enjoy the worlds that are made up by these authors. Start in no order of these books.

Number one, I guess you can classify them all as number one for it is also a series of books. 50 Shades of Grey by EL James have been one of the series that I have read and reread several times over the past couple of years. I particularly find Christian Grey as being a very complicated character. His need to dominate a young woman to control his world is of great interest to me it shows a very troubled man who still wants to be accepted. Although his character is extremely flawed the woman that he encounters is a very innocent that also flawed young woman. She's looking to find herself Next of some other characters that all have some type have flaws or twist to their life. El slammed it out of the park with this story. Even though most people find it controversial because it deals with a different type of world that most of us are not used to, I'll be honest, I had to look some of it up even though I've been married for over 30 years, Introduces her into his world but what he feels is self-control through a dominant and submissive relationship. Christian Grey is one of the sexiest characters ever brought to life in a romance novel.

The Crossfire series is book #2 By Sylvia Day. Gideon Cross the main character was also a very flawed man brought on by issues that occurred during his childhood. Fortunately, Gideon knew what his demons were he just didn't know how to fight them. Being abused physically and sexually as a child formed, how he was to become as an adult. A gorgeous unflawed man that was tormented on the inside was transformed by a woman he met named Eva. His love knew no bounds when it came to him. Eva was also very flawed from an early age. 2 very damaged people came together as a result have an unhealthy relationship and grew to love one another.

Number 3 The Arrangement by HM. Ward. The story of the Ferro Family. The family dynamics behind both characters make them very dark and intense. Sean Ferro seems to always be in some type of danger along with his counterpart and lover Avery. About the time these 2 think they're going to have a happy ending thing seemed to go Topsy Turvey an end up with everything from simple issues to murder. Again, this scene is through erotic scenes of being a submissive turning to lover. The world for both is extremely flawed. From a demanding mother to a cheating husband and a part time father the family is torn apart most of the time. The brothers and cousins, however, stand by each other in times of crisis.

Book Number 4 is Hot Shot by Julie Garwood from her series Buchanan FBI series. She had others in this series that I loved, but this one was one that stood out to me. Finn McBain is the hero of this book; he is a childhood friend of Peyton Lockhart who has inherited Bishops Cove. With all the threads Beth Peyton requires she turns to her lifelong friend for assistance and he becomes her protector this is a story you don't want to miss. It's one of the best written romances I have read. Finn has come has come to her rescue since she was a child saving her as a 6-year-old from drowning now he's protecting her from those who want to do her harm even to the point of death. Book number 5. Finally, the one book that started me on this journey was one from Lori Foster. Bare it all Is from the love undercover series. When detective Reese Bareden becomes intrigued with the woman next door, he finds himself taking down a trafficking ring for humans. Alison Appleton is on the run trying to put as much distance between her and those that had her in captivity. The Sparks fly from the get-go between these two characters. Reese Is determined to protect her at all cost. This book will pull you in from beginning to end leaving you wanting more. It is certainly one of my favorites.

Any of these books will not disappoint and you will find yourself swept away into another world. Thank you to all the authors listed here for giving me hours of pleasure and taking me to another world. .
