I have been writing for years but it wasn't until a family vacation around seven years ago that I realized that was what I wanted. I started by Self publishing which is a good way to go if you have some major networking at your hand. If you are like me and have limited resources and limited networking you try different avenues. I am now taking a stab at traditional publishing. All I can say about trying to find a literary agent is perseverance. That is what it takes. I am a stubborn woman and I am determined to win at this game.

Over the last month or so I have been doing queries at least two a day in that length of time. I have heard from maybe three or four of them. When you are in this crazy game you start thinking all I need is one yes. That's true. One is all you need to appreciate your work, time and effort.

Until then I will continue to work on getting it out to others to enjoy instead of a small circle. Literary Agents are the stepping stone to a publisher, if you can catch their eye your in the vision of a publisher. So here's to all of you in the same boat as I. Keep paddling even if it feels like your going up stream
