Have you ever thought where your dreams come from? It has been told to me several times over that they are buried somewhere in your subconscious mind. I might be inclined to believe that if you didn’t have so many other dreams and nightmares that made no sense what so ever. I have had dreams of being in a castle with a moat around it and no way of getting out with a storm coming and the only way you can get out is a maze. Only problem is, that the only way to get to the maze is stairs, except there are no stairs. I have raced cars and wrecked them, been arrested, drunk, in surgery, I’ve even lived back during Civil War days where I was one of the young women of a great plantation, hoop dresses and all playing croquet in the yard. I can’t say I have ever gone to bed with those sorts of thoughts in the back of my mind.
One of the most recent I can recall in the most detail I am sure was more than likely less than 30 seconds long. I was in a limo, dressed in fine clothing. The limo was black and long with dark interior. During the drive I can remember sipping on Champagne and traveling down a lane where it was divided by a strip of green in the middle of it with very tall oak trees on either side of the road. The distinct feeling of riding to somewhere wonderful and exciting had been always the anticipation. I also knew I was in Connecticut. Besides never visiting let alone live there I knew it was where I was and where my aim was. I am not as a rich person, but the idea of being so was also the premise. The area was gated with large rot iron fence and gates with a gold emblem. Too bad I woke up before I got there. I am sure the home was impressive or place, whichever it may have been.
You ask if I have an imagination. Yes, I guess you could, I mean, I do write romance novels. I would like to write them for a living, but for now I am a common woman in a small town and happily married to my husband with an average family. You know, three kids, two dogs and a partridge in a pear tree.
Good night all you dreamers. Have a lovely night and dream big.
