What happens as you get older? You lose the ability to be young. Most people forget what it was like to be a child. I did some things as a child that the kids of today would never do because of all of the electronics and devices. I am not saying that kids don't still love the snow, I am sure they do, but I loved going out an playing in it and having snowball fights and building snowmen with my parents. It was always a hit to make homemade hot chocolate. It was the best way to warm up after playtime in the snow.

As this year is coming to an end my husband and I have made it a tradition to go to Winterfest in Cincinnati. If you don't know what that is let me tell you about it.

Kings Island, if you aren't familiar, is a theme park. Most of it's business is in the summer, but after years of not having Winterfest they have brought it back. Last year was the first time I had gotten to go and I loved it. Although you can get on some of the selected rides most is wintertime shows, holiday treats and horse drawn carriage rides. You can be in Paris on Main Street or on Coney Island which ever you want. There are still themed areas such as what used to be Hanna Barbara when I was a kid, it is The Peanuts now, Rivertown where you will find The longest, fastest wooden roller coaster to Flight Deck where Animal Country Safari was at a time. It is now past Germany's Octoberfest complete with a glockenspiel. Christmas time at Kings Island is magical and worth the trip for a couple, group or a family. Kids and those that are still young at heart can decorate cookies with Mrs. Clause. There plenty of shops all with Christmas and holiday themed items for souvenirs or gifts, The fun starts 11/23 and runs through 12/31. Don't miss out on being a child again.
