It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year

That's right, it's Holiday time again. Oh my, are you ready for it? It seems the older I get the sooner the Holidays sneak up on me. Over the next few weeks I am sure I am going to find things much more demanding. This year I am keeping it simple. My family is small granted, but It has always been a big deal to me to entertain. When our family was younger we had a full house and I had little to entertain with. Now that I am older and now have the many things to entertain with there are little to entertain. My grandchildren are all small but I do not have the privilege to have them all close. I will decorate as usual but the gifts will change and so may the times change. With all of my children going different places and living their lives Thanksgiving and Christmas may not be on the legal holiday.

Over the years I have also found that most gifts you take pain staking time to pick out for each one is not always what they find as the perfect gift. Dare I say it has taken the fun out of it for me. I would much rather get something they want or gift them monetarily than to see it thrown out or left on a shelf or in a drawer. The holiday isn't the gifts anyway it is for family time.

That is what I will be focusing on this year. Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas to all who need to hear this. Take time for yourself and be good to one another.
