It's been almost three weeks since my hubby and I held our fall trip. This year we decided to pass away to Nashville, the heart of Country Music. I have been there before and stayed at the Gaylord. My husband had never been there, and I wanted for him to see some of the sights I have seen years ago.

Tennessee is also a romantic getaway rather you are newlyweds or have been married for long time. We both relished the rich history and the street of Broadway as much as the Ryman Auditorium, The Johnny Cash, Patsy Cline and George Jones Museums. The best thing to get along when you first arrive is to ride the on and off a bus that goes through all the views and listen to the story.

During the tour we stopped at the Union Station Motel, which is said to be beautiful and very haunted.

The on off bus also takes you down music row and introduces you to the many music studios. Some of them look like actual business , others look like a normal everyday residence. The guides are very well educated in the history. If you are lucky you may see a Country Music star or two.

One of the main attractions is the Grand Ole Opry. We weren't able to attend as tickets were sold out except for what scalpers had bought. Although you could still purchase tickets they would cost a small fortune. Unfortunately it was one of the main highlights of the years as Dolly celebrated her 50th year at the Grand Ole Opry.

Romance still remains in Country Music. If you like simple down home music and entertainment you won't want to miss this attraction.

One other attraction we didn't go in was Tootsies, a bar just behind the Ryman where many of the stars frequented back in the day. Tootsie was known to be a very generous woman when it came to the starving artist such as Kris Kristofferson and the like as they were beginning their careers. It is also where Charlie Dick and a young Willie Nelson who compromised on a classic Patsy Cline hit Crazy.

If you have opportunity cross the pedestrian bridge and take in the view and take some photographs. It's beautiful. Have fun.
